CURATORIAL STATEMENT

“Sonic Transitions: Auditory Stories of Female New Immigrants in Hong Kong” is a sound art exhibition exploring how female new immigrant artists use sound to express personal auditory narratives intertwined with urban life.The exhibition features 10 new works created by 12 artists. Using sound as the primary medium, these works transform auditory memories into artistic expressions, presenting a rich array of cultural and emotional narratives.

Focusing on “transition,” the exhibition examines female mobility, listening, and expression in public spaces. The artworks simulate the flow and intersection of sonic elements across shifting contexts, constructing a dynamic auditory space for continuous dialogue where the works of female artists intertwine, allowing sound to wander and flow through the space. This fosters invisible exchanges and interactions, forming a multi-layered network of sonic narratives.

Audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the auditory space through movement and perception, becoming integral to the sonic transitions. By engaging with sound’s emotional and mnemonic dimensions, participants experience resonance and connection within the flow of sonic elements and their interplay.

1. GAN Lu 甘露

Gan Lu’s work is deeply rooted in her journey of self-growth and personal experiences. She explores the interplay of metaphor, simulation, and shifting perspectives, creating art that reflects a profound understanding of these methods.

甘露的作品深植於她的自我成長與個人經歷之中。她透過隱喻、模擬與視角轉換的相互作用來進行探索,創作出富有深度且反映對這些方法獨特理解的藝術作品。

This work reconstructs my first lesson in Hong Kong, capturing the disorienting experience of processing a second language in an unfamiliar academic setting. By blurring both sound and video, it simulates the ambiguous state of partial comprehension—where understanding seems within reach yet remains elusive. The piece explores the liminal space between auditory output and reception, questioning the stability of communication when clarity is compromised. In this abstraction of speech and perception, it seeks to uncover an alternative intimacy between language and meaning, challenging the boundaries of linguistic comprehension and sensory interpretation.

本作品重現了我在香港的第一堂課,捕捉在陌生的學術環境中處理第二語言時那種令人迷失的體驗。透過模糊化的聲音與影像,作品模擬了一種介於理解與困惑之間的曖昧狀態——理解似乎近在咫尺,卻又難以真正掌握。作品探討了聲音輸出與接收之間的臨界空間,質疑當清晰度受到削弱時,溝通的穩定性是否仍然存在。在語言與感知的抽象化過程中,作品試圖發掘語言與意義之間的另一種親密關係,挑戰語言理解與感官詮釋的邊界。


2. YANG Cheng 楊程

Cheng Yang is an artist, researcher and a PhD candidate at the City University of Hong Kong. Her artistic practice spans interdisciplinary art, sound art, and media art, with a focus not merely on technological innovation but on exploring multisensory associations in creative expression, and cultivating new sensations from nature and culture. Her artwork emphasizes public engagement and education, and objectively discusses the current nature conservation and cultural inheritance impacted by dynamic human activities, policy evolution, and individual awareness. In 2024, she held two solo exhibitions in Hong Kong.

楊程是一位藝術家,研究員,也是香港城市大學的博士候選人。她的藝術實踐涵蓋跨學科藝術,聲音藝術和媒體藝術,不僅關注技術創新,還關注創意表達中的多感官關聯,培養觀眾對自然與文化的新感知。她的藝術作品強調公眾的參與與教育,客觀地討論了當前受動態的人類活動,政策演變和個人意識影響的自然保護和文化傳承。2024年,她在香港舉辦了兩次個展。

Title: Stop/Walk

As an international metropolis, the central streets of Hong Kong are always bustling with hurried pedestrians. The pedestrian traffic signal sounds highlight the unique characteristics of Hong Kong’s urban soundscape, creating a sensory map that resonates with these pedestrians. The rapid pace, unfamiliar languages, and humid smells amplify a sense of alienation, making the dense crowd feel as vast and isolating as a desert. To navigate this inner conflict, I envisioned myself as a cactus—an organism thriving in harsh, arid environments by conserving energy and adapting to its surroundings. The cactus, with its self-sustaining nature, becomes a metaphor for resilience and independence, offering a model for how we might reconnect with ourselves amid the bustling chaos. In life’s journey, we can still pause to recalibrate, letting external noise dissipate like wind across a desert. In this installation, the sounds and visuals initially appear agitated but gradually calm down over time, which reminds us to attune to our internal rhythms and seek harmony, through deliberate pauses that reconnect us to the essence of life—both urban and natural.

香港作為一個國際大都會, 街道上總是熙來攘往。行人交通信號的聲音凸顯了香港城市聲景的獨特特徵,形成了一幅與行人產生共鳴的感官地圖。然而,快速的節奏、不熟悉的語言以及潮濕的氣味,增添了一種疏離感,即使身處擁擠的人群也彷彿置身與廣闊而孤立的沙漠。

為了解決這種內心的矛盾,我將自己想像成一棵仙人球——一種能在乾旱惡劣環境中適應生存的生物。仙人球的自給自足特性成為一種韌性和獨立的象徵,啟示我們如何在喧囂中重新與自己建立聯繫。在生命的旅程中,我們不需要一直忙於追趕,可以暫時停下來調整自我,讓外界的噪音如沙漠中的風般逐漸消散。在這個裝置中,聲音和視覺效果最初顯得焦躁,但隨著時間的推移逐漸平靜,提醒我們去嘗試調節內在的節奏,通過有意識的停頓找到與城市和自然本質的連結。


3. WANG Xinyan 王心嚴

Dr. Xinyan Wang is a lecturer at the School of Music, Linyi University, and holds a Ph.D. in Modern Electroacoustic Music Technology Theory from the Department of Music Artificial Intelligence and Music Information Technology at the Central Conservatory of Music. Her works aim to explore the integration of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology with electronic music composition, moving away from the traditional “conceptualized” approach to electronic music composition. She seeks to create music that not only explores the forefront applications of AI in music creation but also carries an educational and enlightening significance. Her compositions have been featured in the “74th National Day Celebration” concert at the National Centre for the Performing Arts of China and have received funding from the National Arts Fund’s 2023 Small Projects Initiative. Additionally, her works have been showcased at events such as the “CLE Art Exhibition” organized by The Education University of Hong Kong.

王心嚴博士,臨沂大學音樂學院教師,中央音樂學院音樂人工智能與音樂信息科技系電子音樂技術理論專業博士。她的作品旨在探索前沿的人工智能技術與電子音樂作曲技術的結合,摒棄傳統電子音樂作曲的“概念化”思想。她希望創作的音樂作品不僅能夠探索人工智能技術在音樂創作中的前沿應用,同時還具有教化的功能意義。她的音樂作品曾在中國國家大劇院“慶祝國慶74週年”音樂會中亮相,並獲得國家藝術基金2023年度小型項目立項資助。她的音樂作品還參加了由香港教育大學主辦的“CLE藝術作品展”等。

Life Long and Prosper is a musical piece reflecting the lives and hopes of the underprivileged in Hong Kong’s urban areas. The creator aims to raise awareness of the living conditions of residents in Hong Kong’s impoverished neighborhoods and to inspire greater care and support for these vulnerable groups. The work highlights the resilience and optimism of those living in hardship, emphasizing the power of social mutual aid and compassion. Enhanced by AI-driven visual and audio generation technologies, the piece delivers a more dynamic and expressive experience, allowing the audience to deeply connect with its profound meaning and emotional resonance through both visual and auditory senses.

《生生不息》是一首反映香港城市中貧民生活與希望的音樂作品。創作者希望通過這部作品,引起社會對香港貧民區居民生活狀況的關註,喚起更多人對這些弱勢群體的關愛和支持。作品展現了貧民區居民在困境中的堅韌和樂觀,強調社會互助和關愛的力量。作品通過人工智能視覺生成技術和聲音生成技術,作品的表現力更加豐富和動態,使得觀眾在欣賞音樂的同時,也能通過視覺和聽覺感受到作品的深刻內涵和情感共鳴。

4. GUI Ren 桂仁

GUI Ren is an artist, curator, producer and musician pursuing a PhD in the SoundLab of the School of Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong. She has started the “Female Soundscape Project”, which focuses on guiding females in exploring various spaces in Hong Kong by conducting diverse sound practices. She has participated in various

artistic and academic projects, such as DAT/ACT Exhibition 2022 (Hong Kong), IsaScience

2023 (Vienna),  In the Field 2(London), Spark Festival  2024 (Hong Kong). Her works primarily focus on the complexities of everyday listening experiences as they relate to sound, identity, emotion, and space.

桂仁是一位藝術家、策展人、製作人及音樂人,目前於香港城市大學創意媒體學院的 SoundLab 攻讀博士學位。她發起了「女性聲景計畫」,透過多元的聲音實踐,引導女性探索香港的不同空間。她曾參與多個藝術與學術項目,包括 DAT/ACT Exhibition 2022(香港)、IsaScience 2023(維也納)、In the Field2(倫敦)、Spark Festival 2024(香港)。她的作品主要關注日常聆聽經驗的複雜性,並探討聲音、身份、情感與空間之間的關聯。

What does a city sound like to a newcomer? When new immigrants explore an unfamiliar place through their ears, what stories emerge from the hum of daily life?

Walk in Her Shoes is an artistic exploration of sound, mobility, and identity, offering a rare glimpse into the world of ten immigrant women from Mainland China as they navigate life in Hong Kong. Over three years, under the guidance of the artist, these women embarked on a profound sonic journey: listening, sound walking, field recording, interviewing, and composing soundscapes to capture how they experience and interpret their surroundings through sound. By weaving together these deeply personal sonic experiences, Walk in Her Shoes invites audiences to step into the auditory world of immigrants to listen, reflect, and connect. It’s an invitation to hear the city in a new way, where sound becomes a bridge between self and society, past and present, home and the unknown.

一座城市之於新來者,究竟有著怎樣的聲響質地?當新移民以雙耳丈量陌生之地,那些潛伏於日常低鳴中的敘事將如何浮現?

《Walk in Her Shoes》 是一場關於聲音、流動與身份的藝術探索,帶領觀眾進入十位來自中國內地、現居香港的移民女性的聽覺世界。在藝術家的指導下,這些女性展開了一場為期三年的深刻聲音旅程——傾聽、聲音漫步、田野錄音、訪談與聲景創作,試圖捕捉並詮釋她們如何透過聲音感知與理解周遭環境。透過編織這些極具個人色彩的聲音旅程,《Walk in Her Shoes》 邀請觀眾走入新移民的聽覺世界,去傾聽、思考並建立連結。這是一場全新的聲音體驗,在其中,聲音成為自我與社會、過去與現在、家園與未知之間的橋樑,引領我們以不同的方式去感受這座城市。

5. Vikin WEN 溫杏童

Viki WEN is a multimedia artist and visual designer exploring the connections between people and urban spaces through mediums such as sound, performance, video, and installations. Her work has been exhibited in both London and Hong Kong, emphasizing her dedication to creating immersive, multi-sensory experiences that invite audiences to reflect on and re-examine their relationship with their environment.

A recent MFA graduate from the Royal College of Art in Arts and Humanities, Viki continues to develop her research and artistic practice, focusing on themes of identity, memory, and vulnerability. Her projects often bridge sound art and social research, aiming to uncover the hidden layers of meaning within urban soundscapes.

溫杏童(Viki WEN)是一位多媒體藝術家兼視覺設計師,通過聲音、表演、影像和裝置等媒介,探索人與城市空間之間的深層聯系。她的作品曾在倫敦和香港展出,以沈浸式、多感官的體驗引導觀眾反思並重新審視自身與環境的關系。  作為英國皇家藝術學院(Royal College of Art)藝術與人文碩士(MFA)畢業生,她的創作聚焦於身份、記憶與脆弱性等主題,融合聲音藝術與社會研究,揭示城市聲景中隱藏的意義與情感層次。

Title: Voices in the Flow

Artist: Viki WEN

Voices in the Flow is an immersive installation combining dynamic visuals, soundscapes, and tactile elements. Using the Shenzhen River and the Thames as metaphors, the work explores the intersections of culture, identity, and memory within the flows of migration and history. Rivers serve as connectors of physical spaces, but they also carry the emotional and historical currents of human experience.

As an artist, my practice focuses on the relationship between people and the environments, uncovering the hidden stories and meanings embedded in urban soundscapes. In this work, I incorporate natural sounds and historical archival recordings to evoke past and present narratives of migration, displacement, and cultural transformation. Through the multi-sensory experience of Voices in the Flow, I invite audiences to reflect on the complexities of movement and identity, tracing the echoes of history within contemporary landscapes.

《Voices in the Flow》是一件結合動態影像、聲音景觀與觸覺元素的沈浸式裝置藝術作品。以深圳河與泰晤士河為隱喻,作品探討了文化、身份與記憶在遷徙與歷史流動中的交織。河流既是地理空間的連接,也承載著情感與歷史的流動。

作為一名藝術家,我的創作關注人與環境的關係,尤其是隱藏在城市聲音景觀中的故事與意義。在這件作品中,我融入了自然聲音與歷史檔案錄音,以喚起關於遷徙、流離與文化變遷的過去與當下敘事。我希望觀眾通過作品的多感官體驗,反思流動與身份的複雜性,在當代景觀中追溯歷史的回響。


6. LYU Qiaosheng 呂翹聲

Lyu Qiaosheng is an artist/researcher working with sound and objects to create sounds. With a background in Design and Digital Media, her practice focuses on designing and performing with artificial interfaces translating between sound, movement, and intangible human traits including memories and emotions. Lyu’s works explored the relationship between body and sound through designed interfaces as extensions of the human form. Through these practices, she investigates the themes of prosthesis embodiment, somaesthetics, and post-humanism.

呂翹聲是一位藝術家/研究員,她利用聲音和物體來創造聲音。她擁有設計和數字媒體背景,其實踐側重於設計和表演人工界面,在聲音、動作和無形的人類特征(包括記憶和情感)之間進行轉換。呂翹聲的作品通過設計界面作為人體形態的延伸,探索了身體與聲音之間的關系。通過這些實踐,她研究了假肢具身性、身體美學和後人類主義的主題。

Artist: Lyu Qiaosheng

In Echoes of Touch II, the artist delves into the sensory relationship between herself and the surroundings of her living area in Hong Kong. Using a DIY contact microphone embedded in a wearable nail, she records the hidden sounds of her environment—both natural and artificial—through tactile interactions. This work seeks to capture the overlooked sonic landscape of the city, reflecting on the intimate connection between the body and place through auditory exploration. Through this sensory practice, she invites audiences to reconsider their own engagement with the city, attuning to the layers of sound that often go unnoticed.

在《觸覺回響 II》中,藝術家深入探討了她與香港居住環境之間的感官關系。她使用嵌入在可穿戴指甲中的 DIY 接觸式麥克風,通過觸覺互動記錄環境中隱藏的自然和人工聲音。這件作品旨在捕捉城市中被忽視的聲音景觀,通過聽覺探索反思身體與地點之間的密切聯系。通過這種感官實踐,她邀請觀眾重新考慮自己與城市的互動,關註那些經常被忽視的聲音層次。


7. WANG Qiuyu 王秋予

Qiuyu Wang, composer, pianist, and sound artist. Her musical path is diversified, after 15 years of professional classical piano training, Qiuyu expanded her direction to scoring for film, animation, and video games, as well as sound art and music production. Her creation mainly genres ambient and minimalism, but meanwhile the natural emotional expression that she highly respects is reflected through touching melodic lines. Qiuyu is passionate about how music can be related to other forms of art and the possibilities of stimulating human sensation through different combinations. She is devoted to conveying genuine feelings from an artistic perspective, and values art as the one sincere way of perception. She aims to discover new sounds in acoustic instruments and how artificial materials can be combined with natural elements to present the primitive side of music.

王秋予,作曲家、鋼琴家、聲音藝術家。她的音樂道路十分多元化,經過15年的專業古典鋼琴訓練,秋予拓展涉獵影視/遊戲配樂、聲音藝術和音樂製作。她的創作風格以氛圍音樂和極簡主義為主,但同時她所推崇的自然情感表達也通過動人的旋律線條體現出來。秋予熱衷於探索音樂與其他藝術形式之間的聯系,以及如何通過不同的組合激發感官的可能性。她致力於從藝術的角度傳達真摯的感受,認為藝術是真誠的感知方式。她旨在發現原聲樂器中的新聲音,以及如何將人工材料與自然元素相結合,呈現音樂的原始一面。

Title: 水行 (Flowing Water)

Artist: WANG Qiuyu

Form: Sound installation

水,從古至今是一個經常用於形容女性特征的詞,旨在表達女性的陰柔之美。而在《水行》這個作品中,我想要挖掘水其他的特型,它象征了流動,象征了靈活,象征了川流不息的希望,代表了當代女性擁有了獨立做出選擇的權利,女性不再待字閨中,不再受到傳統觀念中男主外女主內的束縛,而是可以為了追逐夢想,四海為家。《水行》 是一個聲音藝術作品,呈現手段包含攝影元素帶來的視覺沖擊,在作曲方面具有配樂的特質,在這個語境下,則會是自然采樣聲音和音樂的結合。對於在香港有過三年留學經驗的我自己(同時也作為一名女性)來說,水更是代表了大陸口岸與香港之間的連接,尤其在疫情封鎖期間,許多在港漂泊的港漂女性無法入境大陸,只能與家隔岸相望。此作品中的水聲采樣來自深圳灣口岸及深圳灣公園一帶,使用索尼錄音筆D10進行現場采樣。

Water, from ancient times to the present, has often been used to describe feminine qualities, aiming to express the gentle beauty of women. In the work “水行”, I want to explore other characteristics of water. It symbolizes flow, flexibility, and the continuous hope that contemporary women have gained the right to make independent choices. Women are no longer confined to the inner chambers, nor are they bound by the traditional notion of men handling external affairs and women handling internal affairs. Instead, they can pursue their dreams and make a home wherever they go. “水行” is a Sound Art piece that incorporates the visual impact of photography. The composition has the characteristics of a soundtrack, combining natural sound recordings and music in this context. For me, who has studied in Hong Kong for three years (and as a woman), water represents the connection between the mainland and Hong Kong, especially during the pandemic lockdowns when many women studying in Hong Kong could not return to the mainland and could only look across the border at their homes. The water sound recordings in this work are taken from the Shenzhen Bay Port and Shenzhen Bay Park area, using Sony D10 microphone.


8. YANG Yadi 楊雅迪/10. CUI Yu 崔昱 (artist duo)

Yang Yadi, designer, artist, PhD candidate.Her research and design focus on the contextual restoration of cultural relics in museums, aiming to rejuvenate these historical treasures and facilitate dialogue across time. Her commitment to cultural and design excellence is underscored by her participation in various art activities, including the 2011 Beijing Design Week, the 2013 Baihe Cup, and V&A Museum and Somerset House exhibitions.

楊雅迪,設計師、藝術家,博士研究生。她的研究與設計聚焦於博物館文物的情境化復原,旨在讓這些歷史珍寶煥發新生,並促成跨越時空的對話。她對文化與設計卓越性的執著體現在她參與的各類藝術活動中,包括2011年北京設計週、2013年白鶴盃,以及在 V&A博物館(維多利亞與阿爾伯特博物館)和薩默塞特宮(Somerset House) 舉辦的展覽。

Cui Yu focuses on exploring the complex relationship between nature and female identity. Through studying the ecological mechanisms, morphology, and aesthetics of hermaphroditic plants (such as pea flowers and arrowroot) and special creatures (such as octopuses and sea hares), her work reveals the intrinsic tensions of life. Her works span ecology, feminism, and cyborg theory, philosophically reflecting on the future state of human existence. The forms of her work integrate art and technology, including installations, video art, and traditional canvas painting.

藝術家崔昱專注探索自然與女性身份之間的複雜關係。通過研究雌雄同體植物(如碗豆花與箭根薯)及特殊生物(如章魚與海兔)的生態機制,形態學與美學上的探索揭示了生命的內在張力。作品跨越生態學、女性主義與賽博格理論,對人類未來的生存狀態進行哲學反思。作品形式融合藝術與科技,包括裝置藝術、影像藝術及架上繪畫等。

《流動的緯度》以古老的鐘表芯為核心,時光與物質、聲音交織成一場多維度的藝術體驗。時間在此不再是抽象的尺度,而是可視、可觸、可感的存在,成為人類與宇宙之間的橋梁。鐘表芯,象征著對時間的掌控,承載著過去與現在的交錯與延續。而流麻的輕柔擺動,如同暗物質的湧動,揭示著宇宙的隱秘維度。每一次敲鐘聲響起,動態的世界便被喚醒。正如星辰與暗物質,它們既是永恒存在的「現在」,又是無盡流轉的「過去」。

“FLOW” centers around an ancient clock movement, intertwining time, matter, and sound into a multidimensional artistic experience. Time is no longer an abstract measure but a visible, tangible, and perceptible existence—becoming a bridge between humanity and the universe. The clock movement symbolizes the mastery of time, carrying the interweaving and continuity of the past and present. Meanwhile, the gentle swaying of linen threads mirrors the flow of dark matter, revealing the hidden dimensions of the cosmos. With each chime of the clock, the dynamic world is awakened. Like the stars and dark matter, they are both the eternal “now” and the endlessly flowing “past”.


9. LIN Yuxin 林雨歆

LIN Yuxin is a visual designer and installation artist, currently pursuing an MFA at the City University of Hong Kong. Her creative practice spans a variety of media, including installation, video, and performance, rather than adhering to a single material or form. Through these mediums, she explores the social issues arising from the tension between local culture and modernization, as well as the diverse psychological states of individuals navigating a changing environment. Often incorporating natural elements such as sand and stones, she seeks to evoke a simple, accessible artistic experience that resonates with viewers on an intuitive level.

林雨歆是視覺設計師與裝置藝術家,目前就读于香港城市大學MFA。她的作品不局限於使用同種材料與形式,裝置、影像、行為表演都在她的創作範圍内。通過這些媒介她探索着本土文化與現代化沖突所引發的社會問題,以及環境變化下人們的不同心理狀態。自然事物例如沙子、石頭等是她經常使用的,她希望這些日常之物能給予人們簡單易懂的藝術感受。

The Hokkien people live by the sea, where faith, adventure, childhood, and separation memories drift with the waves and sea breeze. Seaside is composed of three installation pieces: Childhood by the Sea, Gaze Across, and Behind the Waves. Each installation reflects the artist’s understanding and emotional connection to Hokkien oceanic culture, shaped by their past experiences. Through mechanized movements that generate a noisy soundscape, the work explores the complex, intertwined emotions of the Hokkien people, shaped by generations of migration and continuous cultural evolution.

閩南人依海而生,海浪包裹著情緒輕輕翻滾,是冒險精神,信仰,是童年,也是離別。傍海由三部分裝置組成《海邊的童年》、《對望》與《海浪之後》,幾個不同的裝置分別代表著藝術家過往經歷中對閩南海洋文化的理解與情感。通過機械化的運動製造出噪音音景,闡述著代代迁徙的閩南人们不断交织著的復雜感受。


10. ZHANG Yujia 張雨嘉/7.SUN Zhouye 孫周燁 (artist duo)

Zhang Yujia is a new media artist and researcher based in China and Hong Kong. Her work employs various media, including (and often combining) video, Augmented Reality, AI, and interactive installations. She is currently an assistant professor at College of Fine Arts, Jiangxi Normal University.

張雨嘉是一位活躍於中國大陸及中國香港地區的新媒體藝術家與研究者。她的作品運用了多種媒介,包括(且常常將其結合使用)視頻、增強現實、人工智能以及互動裝置。她目前是江西師範大學美術學院的一名教師。

SUN Zhouye, full of questions and curiosity about everything. She studied painting since she was a child. When she grew up, she learned different design technic. Now she works as a visual designer/art director. She likes to pay attention to social issues and was influenced by Fluxus art. In 2021, She established the Bad Water Art Group. Creation is the smallest unit of resistance.

對一切充滿了疑問和好奇。從小學習繪畫,長大後接受設計方面的訓練,現在是一名視覺設計師/美術指導。2018-2020年就讀於香港城市大學創意媒體專業,主要學習獨立動畫與影像。喜歡關注社會類議題,受到激浪派藝術的影響,2021年成立壞水藝術小組。創造是最小單位的反抗。

Title: 鏡界人生:香港篇 (Mirror Lives: Hong Kong Edition)

In “Mirror Lives: Hong Kong Edition”, we strive to shatter the boundaries between reality and virtuality, delving into the multifaceted lives of Hong Kong women. The physical installation comprises mirrors on the wall and floor, along with three lights. The mirrors reflect endlessly, while the lights create an ethereal play of shadows, symbolizing introspection of the inner self, the external world, and the relationship between reality and reflection. As viewers step in, their own images merge with the space, becoming an integral part of the work.

The accompanying AR virtual installation forms the heart of this piece. It crafts a three-dimensional collage of the spaces of Hong Kong women through daily necessities, including but not limited to perfumes, sunglasses, nail polishes, etc. Paired with daily life soundscapes, it breathes life into digital imagery. This combined installation is not merely an artistic display but a tribute to the resilience and grace of Hong Kong women, inviting audiences to embark on an empathetic journey of immersion.

在《鏡界人生:香港篇》中,我們力求打破現實與虛擬之間的界限,深入探究香港女性多面的生活。實體裝置由墻上和地上的鏡子以及三盞燈構成。鏡子不斷反射,燈光營造出空靈的光影變幻,象征著對內在自我、外在世界以及現實與反射之間關系的審視。當觀者踏入其中時,他們自己的影像便與空間融為一體,成為作品不可或缺的一部分。

與之配套的增強現實(AR)虛擬裝置則是這件作品的核心所在。它透過日常用品,包括但不限於香水、太陽眼鏡、指甲油等,精心打造出香港女性空間的立體拼貼畫。搭配日常生活的音景,為數位影像注入了生命力。這一虛實結合的裝置作品不僅僅是一種藝術展示,更是對香港女性堅韌與優雅的頌歌,邀請觀眾開啟一場沉浸式的共情之旅。
